Trip to Seville, Spain
Day 1: Arrival and Introduction to Seville
Welcome to Seville, Spain! After arriving at the airport, make your way to your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through the city center to get a feel for Seville. Admire the Giralda, the bell tower of Seville’s stunning Cathedral, enjoy the colorful streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood and explore the Real Alcazar. Relax with drinks at an outdoor cafe at the Plaza Nueva - a great spot for people watching.
Day 2: Royal Alcazar and Plaza de España
Start the day off with a visit to the breathtaking Royal Alcazar. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the oldest royal palace still in use in Europe and features stunning architecture and lush gardens. Make your way to the popular Plaza de España, a large, open public square with a beautiful fountain surrounded by a canal. Boat rides are available in the canal, and it’s a popular place to take photographs due to its horseshoe shape and ornate tile work.
Day 3: Triana and Flamenco Show
Head over to the Triana neighborhood, known for its ceramic workshops, traditional tapas bars and live flamenco performances at the Triana Bridge. Check out the Triana Market, which is filled with colorful produce and fresh seafood. In the evening, experience a flamenco show at the Casa de la Memoria, where you can witness the passion, rhythm, and energy of flamenco dance, usually accompanied by guitar music.
Day 4: Italica and Metropol Parasol
Take a half-day excursion to the nearby Roman ruins of Italica, the birthplace of two Roman emperors, Trajan and Hadrian. The ruins are well-preserved with mosaic floors and grand amphitheaters. In the evening head to the fascinating Metropol Parasol with stunning views across the city including a large food market on the lower level.
Day 5: Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower
Get an early start to see Seville’s biggest attraction, the Cathedral, and the Giralda Tower (which you saw on your first day). A tour of these must-see highlights will take around two hours, so there is plenty of time to explore other sites after. To continue your day, take a walk through the picturesque Barrio Santa Cruz and don’t hesitate to wander around and get lost.
Day 6: Shopping and Tapas Bar crawl
Experience some of the city’s best shopping in the fashion street, Calle Sierpes, and the side streets, before heading on a tapas crawl. Make your way to the busy Albayzín district and indulge in the traditional tapas of the area. The narrow streets and historic buildings that make up the area provide an intimate setting for an evening out.
Day 7: Departure
Alas, it’s time to say goodbye to Seville. After breakfast, make your way to the airport to head back home with incredible memories of your time in Seville.
