Trip to Jessups Village, St. Kitts and Nevis
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
You will arrive at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, where you will be greeted by your personal driver and taken to your hotel. Check into your room to freshen up, then head to the hotel’s pool or beach area to relax and soak up the sun. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, take a stroll down to the famous Cockleshell Beach. End the day with a delicious Caribbean dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Day 2: Explore Basseterre
Start your day by visiting the historic Basseterre district. Tour the capital city, known for its old-style architecture and colonial charm. Visit the famous St. George’s Anglican Church and Independence Square, where the island’s independence was declared in 1983. Relax and enjoy some shopping at the local markets and boutiques, where you can find souvenirs, local art, and hand-made crafts. In the evening, head out for dinner at one of the local restaurants and enjoy the nightlife in the city after dark.
Day 3: Unwind at the Beach
After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, spend the day doing nothing but relaxing at the beach. This island has several popular beaches to choose from, including Cockleshell Beach, Frigate Bay Beach and Golden Rock Beach. So grab your favorite book, put on some sunscreen, and enjoy the crystal clear waters and pristine sandy beaches. You can rent a cabana, kayak or jet ski if you’re feeling a bit adventurous. End your day with a sunset dinner at any of the beachside restaurants.
Day 4: Rainforest Hike
Take a break from the sun and head up to the rainforest for a day hike through the lush vegetation. The trail is typically about two hours in length and is filled with streams, waterfalls and exotic flora. You will most likely see monkeys and a variety of bird species along the hiking trail. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes, insect repellant and bring along enough drinking water. After your hike, head back to the hotel, and enjoy a relaxing evening, perhaps with a spa treatment.
Day 5: Scenic Railway Tour
Take a scenic railway tour across the island, which takes approximately four hours. This train tour offers a unique historic and scenic ride with stunning views of mountains, forests, and the Caribbean Sea. You will also visit several historical sites along the way, including the Wingfield Estate, where the oldest rum company in the Eastern Caribbean is located. The train stops at several places along the route for photo opportunities. End the day with dinner at one of the local restaurants.
Day 6: Catamaran Cruise
On day 6, you’ll spend the day cruising around the beautiful Caribbean waters and enjoying the beaches and coastline from a catamaran. The tour offers snorkeling equipment, swimming, and a delicious Caribbean lunch. The catamaran takes you to several top snorkeling spots where you can see a variety of sea life. Don’t forget to take your cameras along to capture amazing memories of your catamaran cruise.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and spend your remaining time experiencing the local culture. Visit local shops and markets to purchase souvenirs and locally made products, then it’s time to head home. Your personal driver will take you the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport for your flight home.
