Trip to Port Elizabeth, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Day 1: Arrival in Port Elizabeth

Welcome to beautiful Port Elizabeth, St. Vincent and the Grenadines! Once you’ve landed, checked into your hotel and freshened up, head over to the Belmont Walkway, which is not far from your hotel, to enjoy an afternoon walk along the beautiful harbor. Day 2: Exploring the Island of Bequia

Enjoy breakfast at one of the many cafes on the Belmont Walkway and then take a ferry to the nearby island of Bequia, which is famous for turtle watching. You can engage in this activity with local tour operators, or if you would prefer, you can simply sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beaches. Visit the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary to learn about the conservation efforts being made to protect these amazing creatures in their natural habitat. You can also hike to the summit of Mount Pleasant, which offers magnificent views of the surrounding islands.

Day 3: A day in nature

Today, head over to Tobago Cays marine park, which is a protected area that is known for its beautiful coral reefs and abundance of marine life. You should book a snorkelling tour through a local operator, which will take you to the key snorkelling sites and if you prefer to stay dry then a glass bottom boat tour is a great way to still see the amazing underwater world. You can also visit the idyllic island of Petit Tabac, which appears in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies!

Day 4: A Taste of Local Life

Discover the local life of Bequia by touring the nearby farming and fishing villages. A local tour guide will take you to visit local farmland, farmers markets and to participate in preparing local dishes. You’ll gain insights about St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ local culture, food and living experiences. To wrap up the day, enjoy a stunning sunset over Admiralty Bay followed by dinner in one of the many nearby restaurants.

Day 5: Relax in the sun

Today is a perfect day to relax and rejuvenate while soaking in the sun. Book a day pass to one of the many local beach resorts, which feature crystal clear waters and beautiful sandy beaches. An excellent option is the Sugar Reef Beach Resort, which is located on a secluded beach in the Canouan Islands. Spend the day lounging under an umbrella or take a refreshing swim in the calm waters of the ocean.

Day 6: Mystery Tasting Tour

Begin your day by boarding a catamaran to tour the Grenadines’ private island to explore the beautiful salt ponds, fumaroles, and tiny villages along the way, and discover the joys of the mystery cooking and cocktail-making experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to sample a selection of local rum, street food, cocktails and other dishes. You can also spend your day lounging on the decks soaking in the idyllic landscape and the sun while you enjoy the local music provided by the crew.

Day 7: Departure Day

Take a stroll along the Belmont Walkway for some last-minute shopping or grab breakfast at one of the cafes. After checking out of your hotel, take your time to enjoy some last minute sightseeing and exploration.
