Day 1: Arrival in Kaohsiung

Day 2: Exploring the City
Today, you will kickstart your trip with a visit to the Lotus Pond, one of the top scenic attractions in Kaohsiung. This beautiful, man-made lake is surrounded by temples and famous landmarks such as the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. After the lake, you will take a stroll down the popular Liuhe Night Market. Here, you will enjoy local delicacies such as the famous oyster omelette, meat skewers, and bubble tea. After indulging in the night market, we recommend heading to the Xiziwan Scenic Area for a night view of the city.
Day 3: A Day at Cijin Island
No trip to Kaohsiung is complete without a visit to Cijin Island. Take an exclusive ferry ride to the island where you can take in amazing views of the city. Upon arrival, enjoy local seafood, bike rides, and a visit to the Cihou Fort. The fort is an important landmark that was once used to protect the city from invasions. Finish your day off with a visit to the Cijin Lighthouse for some stunning views of Kaohsiung Harbor.
Day 4: A Day Trip to Kenting
Experience the scenic beauty of the southern end of Taiwan with a day trip to Kenting. The Kenting National Park is a popular attraction here, with a stunning coastline and crystal-clear waters. You can enjoy water sports and activities, bike rides, and a visit to the Eluanbi Lighthouse. This lighthouse sits at Taiwan’s southernmost point, offering breathtaking views of both the Pacific Ocean and Taiwan’s coastlines.

Today, you will visit the Fo Guang Shan Monastery, the largest Buddhist nunnery in Taiwan. You can listen to the chanting of the nuns, take in the tranquil atmosphere, and enjoy a vegetarian lunch prepared by the nuns themselves. After lunch, a visit to the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts will spark your curiosity in Taiwan’s arts and culture, hosting a impressive collection of modern art pieces.
Day 6: A Visit to Taroko Park
Spend your day visiting the Taroko Park, one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Kaohsiung. From shopping to entertainment activities like ice skating, and a large food court offering great local delicacies and exotic foods, Taroko Park is perfect to spend an entire day exploring what entertainment is like in Taiwan.
Day 7: Ending the Trip
After an exciting week in the city, it is time to pack your bags and get ready to bid farewell to this amazing destination. You may have a final breakfast at a local restaurant, complete your last minute souvenir shopping, and then be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
