Trip to Bodrum, Turkey
Day 1: Arrival in Bodrum
Welcome to Bodrum. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel via a private transfer. Bodrum is a beautiful coastal city on the Aegean Sea, known for its gorgeous beaches, turquoise waters, and ancient ruins. Settle down in your hotel, and spend the evening strolling down the streets of the charming old town. Visit the Castle of St. Peter, a historic monument that houses a museum of underwater archaeology with a range of interesting artifacts.
Day 2: Bodrum Private City Tour
Today, after breakfast, you will experience a comprehensive tour of the city of Bodrum. Your private guide will take you to the famous Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will have the chance to learn some history, and take in the picturesque harbor view from the castle. Afterwards, you will enjoy lunch at a scenic restaurant in the city, and then later explore the local marketplaces for some shopping.
Day 3: Boat Tour and Snorkeling
Spend the day exploring the beautiful coastline of Bodrum with a boat tour to several of its stunning bays. Enjoy the sun, sea breeze, and take advantage of the opportunity to do some snorkeling and exploring vibrant marine life. Take a break over lunch onboard the boat, and soak up the beautiful views of the turquoise blue Sea.
Day 4: Yalikavak and Gümüşlük Tour
Today, we will take a tour of two beautiful coastal villages, Yalikavak and Gümüşlük. Yalikavak is a beautiful village known for its charming marina, top-flight restaurants, and the open-air Yalikavak Bazaar that offers a range of souvenirs and local goods. Gümüşlük, once known as Myndos, is nestled in a picturesque bay, and is home to ancient ruins dating back to 3000 BC, the most important of which is the ancient city of Myndos.
Day 5: Day Trip to Ephesus
Today we’ll take a day trip to Ephesus, ancient Turkey’s capital city, and the most well-preserved classical city in the eastern Mediterranean. Explore the Roman ruins and ancient temples, and marvel at the incredible architecture. Return to Bodrum late in the evening.
Day 6: Bodrum Nightlife
Tonight, you will witness the vibrant nightlife of the historic city of Bodrum, with its clubs, bars, and dance floors. Head to The Marina, otherwise known as the Yacht Harbor, for sunset drinks and delicious seafood while you watch the boats come through the Naval Museum or party all night at Halikarnas.
Day 7: Departure
Sadly, our time in Bodrum comes to an end. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and depending on your flight time and departure time, say good-bye to the charming streets and old town of Bodrum. You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for your flight home.
