Day 1: Exploring Downtown and the Magnificent Mile

Explore the heart of Chicago by visiting downtown and the Magnificent Mile. Marvel at the cultural and architectural wonders of the city while strolling through the streets. The Magnificent Mile is the perfect place to start, with all its high-end shops and classy restaurants. You could go on a food tour and sample some delicious Chicago deep-dish pizza as you soak in the city’s atmosphere. Then head over to Millennium Park to take a picture with the famous “Bean” sculpture. There are also plenty of great museums to visit including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum.

Day 2: Visiting the Chicago Riverwalk

Take a stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk and experience the beauty of the Chicago River. You can discover the city’s artistic side as you pass by amazing architectural designs, murals, and sculptures. If you’re up for it, grab a bike and explore along the waterfront. Whether you’re there for a leisurely walk or intense exercise, the Riverwalk is packed with great views and scenic routes.

Day 3: Exploring the Chicago lakefront

Spend the day exploring along Chicago’s Lakefront. Stop by Lincoln Park for a relaxing afternoon and maybe some volleyball or a picnic on the grass. Take a break from the sun and head over to the Shedd Aquarium, the Art Institute of Chicago, or the Adler Planetarium. End your day with a drink and evening walk along the Michigan Avenue Bridge as you take in the best of Chicago’s magnificent views.

Day 4: Visiting the Navy Pier

Navy Pier has a little something for everyone. You could take a ride on the Ferris wheel or just stroll around and enjoy the amazing views of Lake Michigan. Navy Pier has excellent restaurants, shops, and bars including the famous Harry Caray’s Tavern. You could also explore the Chicago Children’s Museum or the Chicago Shakespeare Theater while enjoying a nice cold beer.

Day 5: Checking out the Brookfield Zoo

Take a short drive from Downtown Chicago to visit the Brookfield Zoo. The zoo has a wide variety of animals from all around the world including giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, and zebras. You could take a train ride around the zoo, check out the amazing dolphin show or even pet some of the animals in the kid’s interactive garden.

Day 6: Exploring the Wrigley Field area

Take a trip north to the Wrigley Field area to experience Chicago’s Cubs fans and the famous “Friendly Confines.” You could also grab a beer and soak in the sun at the nearby Wrigleyville rooftop bars. If sports are not your thing, there are still plenty of great options. You could check out the shops on Broadway, enjoy a show at The Vic, or even check out some killer views from the sky-high rooftops around the neighborhood.

Day 7: Navy Pier and ending the trip with a BANG

Head back and finish off your trip with a bang! Take the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel to catch Chicago’s skyline at sunset before enjoying a wonderful dinner at one of the Pier’s restaurants. Then watch a fireworks show, with the city’s lights glowing in the background, feeling happy and content that you’ve enjoyed a vacation well spent.
