Day 1: Arrival and South Beach
After arriving at the Miami International Airport, make your way to your hotel and check-in. Once you have settled in, head to South Beach which is famous for its beaches, water sports, and nightlife. With miles of sandy beaches and turquoise waters, South Beach is the perfect place to relax and bask in the Florida sun. Stroll around and explore the Art Deco historic district, which is home to the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world. Some of the notable buildings include the Colony Theatre, The Carlyle, The McAlpin Hotel, The Tudor and Delano Hotel.
Day 2: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and Downtown Miami
On day two, head to the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens which is a stunning Italian-inspired mansion that was built in the early 1900s. This landmark is a famous tourist attraction in Miami and is known for its beautiful architecture and lush gardens. After exploring the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, make your way to downtown Miami for some shopping at Bayside Marketplace or take a sightseeing cruise around the Miami harbor to see the stunning skyline.
Day 3: Everglades National Park
On day three, head to the Everglades National Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a natural wonder of the world. Spread over 1.5 million acres, the park is home to various types of flora and fauna, including alligators, panthers, and manatees. You can take an airboat tour or a tram ride through the park to discover the rugged terrain of the Everglades. You can also visit the park’s Shark Valley Visitor Center and catch a glimpse of various bird species.
Day 4: Little Havana
On day four, visit Little Havana, which is a vibrant Cuban neighborhood in Miami. Take a stroll along Calle Ocho, where you can find street vendors selling fresh fruits and Cuban coffee. Visit the famous landmarks in the area like the Bay of Pigs Museum and the Art Museum of Havana. Make sure to try a traditional Cuban meal at one of the many restaurants in the neighborhood.
Day 5: Key West Day Trip
On day five, take a day trip to Key West, which is a tropical paradise located at the southernmost point in the United States. Enjoy the scenic drive to Key West over the Seven Mile Bridge and take in the beautiful views of the ocean. Once you arrive, you can explore the charming town and visit landmarks like the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum or take a snorkeling tour to see the coral reefs.
Day 6: Miami Design District and Wynwood
On day six, head to the Miami Design District, which is known for its high-end fashion stores and art galleries. You can shop for luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, and Louis Vuitton. After shopping, head to the nearby Wynwood neighborhood, which is famous for its street art and graffiti murals. You can explore the local art galleries or take a walking tour to see some of the murals and street art.
Day 7: Departure
On your last day in Miami, you can take a leisurely walk on the beach, have breakfast in one of the beachside cafes, or do some last-minute shopping before you head back home. Pack your bags and say goodbye to Miami, until the next time you visit.
