Day 1: Arrival and River Cruise
Welcome to Can Tho, Vietnam! Upon your arrival, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel where you’ll have some time to settle in and relax. Afterward, you’ll embark on a tour of the city to explore some of the exciting sights and sounds of this vibrant cultural hub. One highlight of your trip is definitely a boat tour of the Mekong River where you’ll be able to experience the natural surroundings of the area and learn about the history and culture of the local communities who depend on it for their livelihoods. A traditional Vietnamese dinner will be served on board, so you can enjoy some of the local cuisine as you take in the beauty of the river.
Day 2: Cai Rang Floating Market and Biking Tour
Start off your day early and visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the biggest in Vietnam. You’ll see boats filled with tropical fruits, vegetables, and other produce sold and exchanged by local merchants. Then, after breakfast, take an exhilarating biking tour on the back roads through nearby villages, rice paddies, and fruit orchards. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the locals and experience their daily lives, including trying some of their delicious food.
Day 3: Can Tho Museum and Munirangsyaram Pagoda
Today, we will visit the Can Tho Museum, one of the best museums in Vietnam, where you can see firsthand the rich history, art, and culture of the region from the 4,000-year-old bronze drums to the present day Canal development. Afterwards, visit the Munirangsyaram Pagoda, a unique and vibrant temple, known for its colorful mosaics, intricate designs, and peaceful meditation rooms.
Day 4: Explore Binh Thuy Ancient House and Night Market
On this day, we recommend visiting the Binh Thuy Ancient House, a beautiful and rare example of French colonial architecture mixed with traditional Vietnamese design, located on the banks of the Hau River. It’s a popular spot for tourists wanting to see the blend of historical cultural influences in Can Tho. In the evening, visit the bustling Night market where you can find a variety of local street foods, souvenirs, and handicrafts.
Day 5: Sam Mountain and Chau Doc Market
Today, you’ll take a day trip to the nearby Sam Mountain, a popular pilgrimage site, where you can take a cable car up to the peak to witness stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. You’ll pass through paddy fields, canals, and stilt houses with endless fields of colorful blooming lotus. Afterward, stop to explore and shop at Chau Doc Market, a lively and colorful local market where you can buy souvenirs, clothing, and accessories.
Day 6: Tropical Fruit Farm and Cocktails at Victoria Can Tho Resort
After breakfast, we will take you to a tropical fruit farm where you can learn about the tropical fruit grown in the Mekong Delta, followed by a delicious tropical fruit tasting. Then, return to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the pool or pamper yourself with a massage or spa treatment (not included). As your day starts to wind down, visit Victoria Can Tho Resort to experience their sunset cocktail hour, where you can sip on a variety of delicious cocktails, made with fresh fruits, herbs, and spices, while watching the sun set over the Mekong River.
Day 7: Departure
