Trip to Haiphong, Vietnam

Day 1: Arrival and Relax

Welcome to Haiphong, Vietnam! Once you arrive at Cat Bi International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the day relaxing and exploring the local area. In the evening, head out to the Parkson TD Plaza where you can find some of the most prominent international brands for high-end shopping. After shopping, you can enjoy dinner with local Vietnamese food such as Com Chay Hai Phong or Banh Da Cua Hai Phong.

Day 2: Discover Haiphong

After breakfast, meet your guide for a full-day city tour of Haiphong. Start your day by visiting the Du Hang Pagoda, which is the oldest Buddhist temple in Haiphong, and the Hai Phong Opera House, which is a perfect example of French colonial architecture. After that, head to the Hang Kenh Communal House – a typical example of traditional Vietnamese architecture and a place for worshipping of the Confucian and King Ly Thai To. In the evening, head to Nui Ngoc for beautiful views of Haiphong with food street vendors, seafood restaurants, small stalls selling fruits, and local hand-made specialties.

Day 3: Discover Halong Bay

After breakfast, take a 2-hour drive to Halong Bay. Halong Bay is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world. Get on board for a luxury Halong Bay Cruise and explore some of the many limestone islands, explore caves, and swim at the beaches. If you’re feeling adventurous, go for kayaking or a swim in the crystal-clear waters.

Day 4: Cat Ba Island Day Tour

After breakfast, head to Hai Phong Dinh Vu Port and take the beautiful ferry trip to Cat Ba Island. While on Cat Ba Island, discover the Cat Ba National Park with guided trekking before having lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, visit the hospital cave, where the army lived during the Vietnam War. The day ends with a return ferry trip to Haiphong and evening at your leisure.

Day 5: Shopping in Haiphong

In the morning, head to Haiphong’s Cho Sat Market, or commonly known as the Iron Market for the locals, which sells everything you could imagine. From clothes and shoes to food and trinkets, you’ll find it all here. The place is chaotic, but it’s worth it. Afterward, head to the Flamingo Dai Lai Resort to enjoy an afternoon of golf and relaxation, which includes several different activities like flying kite, Olympic canoeing, bowling, billiards, or even Karaoke.

Day 6: Evening at Lach Tray Stadium

Today, you can spend the day exploring Hai Phong’s Haiphong Museum and then head to the Lach Tray Stadium in the evening to enjoy a football game. The stadium is the home ground of Haiphong FC, one of the best football clubs in Vietnam, and there’s usually a match that you can catch when you’re there.

Day 7: Departure
