Day 1: Arrival in Hoi An and Lantern Making Class
Welcome to Hoi An! Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, you will be picked up by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Hoi An. After checking in at your hotel, you can relax and freshen up before embarking on your first activity in Hoi An - a lantern making class. Hoi An is known for its beautiful lanterns that adorn the streets of the old town and by making one yourself, you’ll get an insight into the local culture and traditions. Your guide will take you to a local lantern making workshop where you’ll learn how to make a traditional Vietnamese lantern. In this hands-on experience, you will get to choose from a variety of silk fabrics, bamboo frames, and tassels to create a custom lantern to take home to remember your trip to Hoi An.
Day 2: Hoi An City Tour and Cooking Class
No trip to Hoi An is complete without a tour of the ancient city, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. Your guide will take you to the most colorful and picturesque streets, highlighting the unique architecture of the town, which was influenced by the Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese cultures. You will also have a chance to visit the famous Japanese Bridge and the Chinese Temple. After a morning of sightseeing, you can try your hand at cooking some delicious Vietnamese cuisine in a hands-on cooking class. You will learn how to make some of Hoi An’s most famous dishes, including ‘Cao Lau’ (a noodle dish), ‘Banh Xeo’ (a crispy pancake), and ‘White Rose’ (a dumpling-like dish). Get ready to impress your family and friends with your newfound skills when you return home!
Day 3: My Son Sanctuary and An Bang Beach
On day three, you will travel to My Son, an ancient sanctuary of the Champa Kingdom, located about an hour from Hoi An. The sanctuary includes dozens of astonishing red-brick structures, which date back to the 4th century AD. The complex used to be a center of Hinduism in Southeast Asia and is a testament to the Cham culture’s highly-developed artistic skills. After lunch, you will be taken to An Bang beach, one of the top beaches in Hoi An. Here, you can relax on the white sandy beach, go for a dip in the clear blue water, or simply laze around under the sun.
Day 4: Biking Tour to Tra Que Village
Today, you will need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you go on a biking tour to Tra Que Vegetable Village. The village is located about 3km northeast of Hoi An and is known for the fresh vegetables and herbs that are grown there. On the tour, you will cycle through picturesque countryside to get to the village. Upon arrival, you will have a chance to participate in farming activities, such as planting and watering vegetables, and learn about the traditional farming methods used by the locals. After the farming experience, you can participate in a cooking class where you will learn how to cook traditional dishes using the fresh ingredients that you just picked.
Day 5: Free Day in Hoi An
Today, you can have a free day in Hoi An to explore the city at your own pace. You can wander around the town’s winding alleyways filled with boutique shops, dine at one of Hoi an’s famous restaurants, or enjoy the scenic views of the river. A highlight of your free day can be taking a river cruise for a sunset viewing of the Hoi An skyline - a captivating view not to be missed!
Day 6: Day Trip to Marble Mountains and Non Nuoc Beach
On day six, you will take a day trip to Marble Mountains and Non Nuoc Beach. Marble Mountains is a cluster of five limestone and marble hills that are known for their ancient Buddhist temples, traditional craft workshops, and incredible views of the city. You can hike to the top of the mountains for stunning panoramic views of Hoi An. After visiting Marble Mountains, you can continue to Non Nuoc Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Here, you can swim, sunbathe and enjoy the relaxing sound of the waves.
Day 7: Departure from Hoi An
Today marks the end of your journey in Hoi An. After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. We hope you had an unforgettable time in Hoi An, and look forward to seeing you again!
