Trip to Hue, Vietnam
Day 1: Arrival and Hue City Tour
Upon arrival at Phu Bai International Airport, you will be picked up by your private driver and will head straight to your luxury hotel to check in. After having a chance to freshen up and relax, you will embark on a city tour to discover some of Hue’s best attractions. You’ll visit the Imperial Citadel, an impressive and historic fortification that was once the home of Vietnamese royalty. You’ll also explore the charming Thien Mu Pagoda and tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. The city tour will end with a leisurely stroll around the Perfume River, where you’ll take in the stunning view of the surrounding landscapes.
Day 2: Hue Food Tour and Boat Trip
This day is all about flavors. You will join a gastronomic tour as you discover Hue’s most famous dishes and street food, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. From bun bo, banh khoai to nem lui, you’ll try a range of dishes served fresh from the streets and get an excellent sense of Hue’s food culture and location. After that, you’ll embark on a relaxing boat trip through the Perfume River, where you’ll take in the scenery of the countryside.
Day 3: Bike Tour to Countryside and Royal Tombs
Today you will rent a bike and ride through the countryside to visit Hue’s rural villages. You will cycle through rice fields, ponds, and farmers’ markets, stopping to learn about local crafts and farming practices. After lunch, you will explore the royal tombs, the most impressive architectural and historical spots in Hue with their own unique stories of emperors and royal families.
Day 4: Bach Ma National Park Trekking
Today you will visit Bach Ma National Park, one of the most beautiful national parks in Vietnam. You will take a trek through the jungle and chill out at five pristine lakes. You’ll also get the opportunity of spotting wildlife, including deer, monkeys, and butterflies. With the old French villas, you will also get to learn about the history of the national park.
Day 5: Visit Hoi An Ancient Town
This day you will take a one-and-a-half-hour drive to the beautiful ancient town of Hoi An – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll visit Japanese Bridge, the Fukian Assembly Hall, and the Chinese Temple, which are iconic structures in Hoi An. You’ll also learn about the historic cultures of Hoi An through a walking tour, explore the shopping streets, and see some of the cultural performances.
Day 6: DMZ Tour
Today you will explore Vietnam’s historical place of DMZ, Demilitarized Zone, which was once a significant location during the Vietnam War, running along the Ben Hai River. The tour will include a visit to the historical sites, such as the tunnels of Vinh Moc, the Hien Luong Bridge, and the Khe Sanh Combat Base.
Day 7: Departure
On your final day, after saying goodbye to your insta-worthy hotel, your private driver will take you back to Phu Bai International Airport for your departing flight back home.
